Giovanni Ozzola
"Trace of the Wind" exhibition
The eternity and poetry conveyed in the works of the famous Italian artist Giovanni Ozzola is what I am looking for. His works have given me some inspiration about time, nature, poetry and eternity.
At the beginning of the new year in 2022, Giovanni Ozzola presented the audience with poetic answers to eternal themes such as time and nature in the exhibition "Traces of the Wind" held at the Evergreen Gallery in Beijing's 798 Art District.
In Ozzola's works, the existence of "light" is like a magical magician. It makes every empty scene without people present a unique allegorical theater, and the hidden behind the theater The real protagonist is the ever-changing nature itself—at these boundary points where light and darkness are constantly confronting and merging with each other, we can see the themes that recur in Ozzola's works: time, nature, and the quietness of human beings. The traces of intervention and intervention are swallowed and smoothed by nature in the slow passage of time. These lonely theaters, they always keep silent, and reflect the changes of nature and the flow of time with their unmoving solitude. They look to the outside, to the sky, to the sea, and stare at the invisible But the real wind...
For me, I also like to express natural elements in my works, such as sea, forest, snow-capped mountains, fields and so on. The difference is that Ozzola uses the photography language to convey the poetry and eternity of the picture, but I need to use the painting language to express.
