PHOTOGRAPHY

My work is also often inspired by some photography. In my artist statement, another aspect of my creation that I mentioned is that I paint some special moments in life. This is often influenced by some photography. I also usually like photography and recording, recording some special and absurd moments in life, and then thinking and creating. Expressed on the canvas with the language of painting.

I often look for special moments in life. In my painting Dinner (As shown in figure )1, it is the particularity in life, so in photography, there is also particularity.

“The possibility of the existence of particularity in photography can be divided into two categories. The first type is the particularity of the photographed object itself, which can be called direct particularity. The second type is the particularity of the method itself can be called indirect particularity, and the difficulty lies in creation.” (Peng, 2014)

As shown in Figures 2, 3, and 4, they belong to the particularity of the first category of photographed objects. The house in Figure 2 is flying, and the figures in Figures 3 and 4 are suspended. Obviously, this is rare in reality. This is the photographic object itself. The particularity of it has a surrealism(Breton,1924) feeling. For the second category, it is to show the particularity of the way of thinking itself through some kind of thinking fabrication. The difficulty lies in creation. I often use this in my paintings to think about the composition of the picture, the color, and the relationship between characters and objects. relationship, the relationship between objects and objects to show its particularity. Figures 5, 6, and 7 belong to the second category.

Figures 5, 6, and 7 are plain on the surface, but emotionally, they all have a lot of room for imagination. It is not difficult to ask a few whys from this set of pictures, but it is difficult to find the answer to why, that is, you probably know what you are going to say, but there are more uncertain results. As an expression of this kind of approximate "emotional suspension", most of them cut off your thinking line, or it is difficult for you to find his thinking line, thus leaving the suspense that it is difficult for the viewer to explore the result. This is also the way I want to make the audience think through my works
